CBC UPDATE   –   Friday 25 November 2022

Hi Church Family,

We look forward to gathering in the mighty name of Jesus on Sunday and we hope you can join us as the calendar ticks Advent. There are a number of events that I really want to make you aware of in the life of CBC;

1. On Sunday 4th December at 11:30 AM at CBC we have our AGM
2. On Sunday 11th December at 6:30 PM we have our Christmas Concert. Its important to note that the       9:30 AM is ONLINE ONLY.
3. On Sunday 25th December we have our 9:00 AM Christmas service

We certainly look forward to connecting with you across these dates. For more information about what’s going on across our CBC Community please see the Newsletter below.

In our services this Sunday we’ll be finishing our series called “Greater Than”.  We desire to give a reason for the hope we have in Christ through the topic of Hedonism (pleasure) this week. In both services Pastor Andrew will be exploring how Christianity really stands out on our groaning planet, may we share with our world Jesus Christ with gentleness and respect.

The 9:30am service will be online and in-person, while the 5:00pm service will be in-person only.

Our regular children’s and youth ministries for Term 4 are back on again, which involves:

  • Adventure (K-5) and Friday Night Youth (Y6-12) are on today;
  • Beehive (pre school), Cool House (K-2), Gener8 (Y3-5) and Crew AM (Y6-8) are all on during the 9:30am service, with Beehive and Cool House starting in their rooms, and Gener8 and Crew AM starting in the auditorium for worship before heading out;
  • DTS (Y9-12) is on this Sunday at 3:30pm; and
  • COAH Cubby (2-5) and Crew PM (Y6-8) won’t be on this Sunday due to the One Big Table.

In Christ,
Pastor Paul

CBC UPDATE   –   Friday 18 November 2022

Hi Church Family,

I trust you are going well as we head into our Christmas Season. Be assured that there are some great plans for our Church community across the next month. Also it was pointed out to me that The Chosen is being shown in Cronulla Cinemas across this weekend and I think would be great start to the Christmas season if you haven’t seen this series. The Chosen captures the life of Jesus in a very creative way while remaining very theologically sound.

In our services this Sunday we’ll be continuing our series called “Greater Than”. Only this time we are setting off to explore vital paths of communicating Jesus to our world through some challenging areas where we feeling our world is groaning. We desire to give a reason for the hope we have in Christ through the topic of Other Religions this week. In both services I will be exploring how our Christianity really stands out on our groaning planet, may we share with our world Jesus Christ with gentleness and respect.
