CBC UPDATE   –   Wednesday 1 July 2020

Hi Church Family

It’s with great joy that I email you mid-week to get ready to worship in person this week. In order for us to be a COVID safe place of worship, church will look and feel a little different. What remains the same is our Almighty God who gives strength to the weary and invites us into His mission. Please read the following in preparation for Sunday:

OUR 9:30AM SERVICE 5TH JULY: Please arrive early! When you enter the church through our main doors you will need to use sanitiser, have your attendance recorded and answer our COVID health question by our COVID warden. Once inside the church, we do need to remain socially distanced 1.5 meters apart. If you are unwell or have travelled overseas or to Victoria in the last two weeks, please remain at home and watch our pre-recorded service online at our usual time of 9:30am. This Sunday is exciting as we welcome five people into membership, celebrate our JUSTICE IN JUNE total and worship God together in person.

KIDS CHURCH DURING HOLIDAYS: As it’s an interim period, church and kids ministry may look a little different for a while, but we’ll be able to see each other’s faces, catch up with family, and worship together. Kids programs will be running during all 9:30am services and for the next three weeks of school holidays we’ll be running a holiday program. We’ll be returning to full kids ministry programs at the beginning of Term 3. There will be changes made to our programs to ensure we’re responsibly caring for our families in this time of COVID-19. These changes will include handwashing, social distancing and adjusting games and programs as necessary. We hope you’re as excited as we are and can’t wait to see you this Sunday at 9:30am.

OUR 5:00PM SERVICE 5TH JULY: Is a little ahead of our AM service as we have been back for the last three weeks with only 50 in attendance as the rest of the community continued to participate via the livestream at home. This week everyone is welcome back as we have more than enough floor space to accommodate our 5:00pm community. The service will be a celebration of God’s goodness over the past few months, including highlights from our discipleship groups and youth ministry. Our live streaming of the 5:00pm service has now ended, so we trust we can see you in-person! We are aiming for a re-start of COAH Cubby on the 19th of July.

If you are well, please come to church on Sunday, we would really like to see you. Remember what Hebrews 10:25 says, And let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

In Christ
