CBC UPDATE   –   Friday 11 June 2021

Hi Church Family

As another Sunday is before us, I am again so grateful in a groaning world that we can lift our eyes to the heavens and praise our good and Almighty God together! After an amazing time in our vision Freedom service last week which included baptisms, we move onto launching a series in Romans in the 9:30 am service along with experiencing some rich fellowship with One Big Table in our 5:00 pm service. I am looking forward to bringing you an update of our May Mission Month offering in both our services. These are truly exciting days at CBC as I am so excited in the growth of our church both in our discipleship and in our participation in serving the Lord together.

Please read on for information about this Sunday and our Community News:

The 9:30 am service will continue in-person and live-streamed through the CBC website (click here to access). Pastor Sam will launch an eight week series in Romans which is a radical masterwork that has for thousands of years been a centerpiece and building block of our belief. It is universal in scope, yet intimate in how it speaks to the heart. Our hope in this series, is to journey through Romans 1-8 and show the heart of God for His Church: that we might be a people who come alive through the beauty of His grace and reveal that same grace to the world through radical love, mercy and power.

CBC Kids continues in week eight of Term 2 with our Beehive program for toddlers and preschoolers. Kids Church (K-Yr 5) along with Reach (Yr 6-8) are ready to bless your kids. For our families, we would really value the opportunity to partner with you in the spiritual parenting of your child, so we hope to see you at church on Sunday.

The 5:00 pm service continues in-person with the first “One Big Table” of the year, which is an opportunity to share a meal together, hear encouraging testimonies, participate in the Lord’s Supper and look to where God is leading the COAH community in the months ahead. Come and share in this special time of community as we celebrate together what God is doing in our midst.

The 5:00 pm service now features two kids programs: COAH Cubby, for preschoolers, which runs for the duration of the service; and COAH Crew, for primary schoolers, which currently runs fortnightly during the second half of the service. It’s exciting to see a growing number of kids and families attending our Sunday 5:00 pm service.
