Sermon Series (COAH) – The Cry for Justice

Where does “bold faith” come from? For Jesus’ disciples, it came from three encounters: an encounter with the risen Jesus, an encounter with the needs of others, and an encounter with opposition. Encountering the risen Jesus is what we seek every week, and opposition isn’t something we can control, so with The Cry for Justice we are going to actively seek to encounter the needs of others. How can we hear the cries of those around us? How can we learn to hope in the midst of great pain? And how can we practically help by comforting those who suffer and confronting the causes of injustice in our world? It’s what Jesus did, and if we are truly his disciples, it’s what we must also do.
