The Studio is an exciting new initiative of City On A Hill. It’s a creative hub for people to come together to share and test ideas, collaborate, give feedback and refine their projects. It’s also a place for “non-creatives” (there’s no such thing, btw) to come and explore their creativity and learn new skills. The primary focus of The Studio will be on the Term 3 campaign (“REAL” in 2017), however other creative projects will also be undertaken throughout the year. The Studio gathers each Sunday from 4:30-5:30pm at the church, and is followed by a meal ($5) and the evening service. This online forum is designed to enable ongoing collaboration and idea-sharing throughout the week.

Some forum rules:

  1. Identify yourself. Please use your full name and add a photo to your profile so that people can see and know who you are when you post!
  2. Stick to the topic. Please stay on the thread’s topic when replying to an existing thread. If you don’t see an open thread about something you’d like to discuss, please open a new thread.
  3. Be helpful and supportive. We’re all here to learn, so please be constructive when providing feedback.
  4. Please use normal English. DON’T USE ALL UPPERCASE FOR YOUR TITLES OR IN THE BODY OF YOUR POST. It comes across as shouting. Also avoid txt msg abbreviations.
  5. Basically, do what Jesus says, i.e. “do to others as you would have them do to you”.

Registration Instructions:

  • Click on the “Register For The Studio” link above, fill in your information and submit the form.
  • Go to your email address, find the new email from CBC and click on the activation link contained in it.
  • Now you’re back on this website, click on “Log In To The Studio” and enter your details.
  • See “The Studio” group and click on “Request Membership” to the right.
  • When your request has been accepted you will be notified by email. Click on “The Studio” link in the email to go to the forum (you may need to login again).
